Over the years, the commercial real estate industry has changed quite a bit – thanks to the advances in technology – so staying ahead of the curve is more important than ever. While attending CRE conferences, reading the latest books, and networking are all important, listening to podcasts can also help you get ahead. Here are five of my favorite podcasts that all commercial real estate professionals should be listening to:

BiggerPockets Real Estate

Imagine you are friends with hundreds of real estate investors and entrepreneurs. Now imagine you can grab a beer with each of them and casually chat about failures, successes, motivations, and lessons learned. That’s what The BiggerPockets podcast delivers. Co-hosted by Brandon Turner and David Greene, this podcast provides actionable advice from investors and other real estate professionals every week. The show won’t tell you how to “get rich quick” or sell you a course, boot camp, or guru system; instead, the BiggerPockets Podcast will give you real strategies that work for real people.

America’s Commercial Real Estate Show

Hosted by Michael Bull, America’s Commercial Real Estate Show features economists, analysts, and market leaders who openly share valuable intel, forecasts and success strategies. If you invest, advise, develop, own, or rent commercial property, land or apartments, this podcast is for you.

The Real Estate Guys Radio Show

Fun and informative, this real estate investment talk show has been broadcasting on conventional radio since 1997. Hosted by professional investor Robert Helms and financial strategist Russell Gray, the show delivers no-hype education and expert perspectives in a fast-paced, entertaining style. The Guys talk investment strategy, economics, tax and asset protection planning, market and property due diligence, international diversification and much, much more! Gain valuable insights from interviews with notable experts, industry leaders and real life investors. Discover proven strategies for making money with real estate in any market, how to avoid common and costly mistakes and what is working in the real world right now. Relevant topics, credible guests, upbeat delivery and no sales hype have made The Real Estate Guys one of the most listened to real estate talk shows in the world.

The Commercial Investing Show

“What’s hot and what’s not in commercial real estate investing” is what this podcast is all about. Jason Hartman has over 25 years of experience in real estate investing and he dives deep into various ways real estate investors can get into investing in commercial real estate. In addition to experts in commercial real estate and client case studies, Hartman also interviews business book authors and speakers, getting them to explain how their insights apply to real estate investment companies. If you’re investing in commercial real estate, this is a great podcast to listen to.

Real Estate REality Check

Larry Haber, a reformed yet long recovered developer as well as an attorney, CPA and the creator of Leasing REality, conducts an ongoing series of weekly conversations with real estate and other business rock stars designed to empower aspiring, emerging and seasoned professionals and business owners to reach their full business potential. Using rock n’ roll, hip hop and pop culture analogies as the basis for many of his questions, the overwhelming majority of the responses from Larry’s guests are informative, entertaining, and most importantly, a conduit to help incentivize listeners of Real Estate REality Check to become masters of their real estate and/or business domains.

Utilize the free time you have when you’re driving to and from the office to listen to the latest CRE podcasts. Or, schedule some time during your day using our commercial real estate CRM to set up a task.
